    Spotting...so scared

I am 6w4d pregnant today. We are scheduled for our first u/s tomorrow which I was just thrilled for.

Yesterday, I started spotting. Brown and just when I wipe. I called the nurse and she said it is common and normal as long as there is no cramping and it doesn't get heavy like a regular flow.

I am still freaking. I had a bit again this morning. I'm supposed to check in with the nurse this morning and then they'll decide if I can wait until tomorrow for u/s or if they can squeeze me in today.

Please send me and my little peanut good wishes.

    BOARD BARGE

Oh, Melanie, I hear you. It is SOOO scary to see that. Take a peek at a thread I started long ago on the General board about a spotting poll. I had a red bleed and cramps and spotting starting at 8dp3dt, and here I am at 21 weeks along now. It used to be that docs would be real concerned about spotting and would estimate m/c at 50% Now? Now they don't believe that spotting is ANY indication of a pending m/c at all! So hang in there! Easier said than done, I know!

Melanie hang in there I spotted too. I know it is still hard to relax no matter how many stories you hear about spotting but it is very common. I FREAKED out each and every time. It happened when we had sex, it happened after u/s, it happened after vacuming one day. Once it got bright red and started for no apparent reason. I was told to go home and just put my feet up for the rest of the day.

Hang in there, sweetie, and know that brown means old. I'm sure your little one will be just fine at your U/S.

Just wanted to add that I spotted on my first pregnancy and had cramping and it turned out fine. Try to rest and take care of yourself. I actually think that spotting is more normal than not.
