    No progress here

Well the frustration is really setting in here! I lost my mucous plug last friday & have had daily contractions but they are not progressing & at my appt today the check showed that I was still only 2cm dilated, cervix is still long & mostly closed . They were going to strip the membranes but the cervix was so long that they couldn't even reach the membranes so I have another appt next thursday & induction is scheduled for the 25th . They did irritate the cervix & said that may help & I mustn't get upset b/c with a second baby once things start to happen they can happen quickly but it's hard not to. Also it was a bit of a worrying appt b/c the baby's hb had dropped, not below normal, but still quite a bit below what it has been so they said to be really certain that I get regular movements & phone immediately if I don't. All in all I could use a few hugs & all the cx'g vibes you can muster! Thank you all for your support.

Oh Bianca - hang in there girl - you are just about there.

Go take a nice long walk and I will send some contraction vibes your way. We gotta get this baby moving! We want to know who he or she is and get to meet them very soon! I wish they would put your induction sooner...... Could you try asking again? Especially with worrying you now about the heartrate being a little lower. Like you need this worry.

    Oh Bianca

I understand. I have to be induced as well, after an early labor that would never end. It turns out Demi was face up. It was miserable having all those contractions with nothing happening. Hang in there sweetie, you will be holding that sweet little one in your arms soon!

    Sending hugs, love and prayers!

Oh Bianca, I check daily on your news, and I am sooo sorry things are going slowly

    Here's a HUGE

Just be sure to call the OB as soon as your gut tells you you should, and if that does happen, insist they start the labor earlier than the 25th I'd say!
The 25th does sound long off and far away, but it WILL get here, even if nothing major happens before then.

    WHICH IT WELL MIGHT!
You might suddenly get cranking on the contractions any day as well!

We are still here for you, so please use us to vent and lean on and I cannot wait to cheer your birth news!

Keep us posted if you can!

    Love,

    Tanja

I thought Auntie Karen was going to scare baby out... apparently she needs to work on her technique.

I'm sorry things aren't progressing like you want them to but if you can... take that long walk with Jacinta (easier said than done, I know!) and have a few more... uh... 'relations' with M. It does help soften the cervix.

And I'll send all the OUT OUT OUT OUT OUT thoughts and vibes I can muster!

Love to you, B! It'll happen soon.

Oh sweetie! I totally know that frustration because I was in your shoes 3 days ago.

I had contractions for weeks prior to Amelia's birth and I truly believe that is why I had a labor of less than 5 hours, this time, unlike the 17 1/2 hours with Abby. I, too, lost my plug 2 weeks prior and was stuck at 2-3 until induction.

It will happen soon though I know that every day seems to go on forever.

I am sending lots of birthing vibes your way!!!
