Oh wow oh wow! Mav you may have your baby before any of us get to hold ours! Is this SM's first labor?

Oh, no I think it would be quite CRAZY to have a surrogate mother that had never gotten pregnant or given birth. It is a RECQUIREMENT to have given birth and parented a child. SM and her DH have a 2 1/2 year old boy and a 1 1/2 year old boy! So this will be her 3rd "labor". Both her boys were big and she gained a lot of weight. But she started off very healthy and has gained only 23 lbs. The only difference is that we are ALL aiming for an induction which she is ok with and understands.

I don't know a lot about SMs and the whole process but now that I think about it, that does make sense.. ( having a DUH moment here. lol)
I'm glad SM is okay with being induced. Oh wow Mav you are going to have that baby in your home soon! How exciting!

Sounds like quite the stressful moments (or two). I am glad to hear that things are under control. I cannot wait to meet your new angel.

I am secretly hoping the baby is going to be a brunette! I know it sounds petty but DS is the spitting image of DH, which is really cute, and this baby will have "not anything" from me, so it would be nice to have a brown haired baby that looks a little like me!!! I just can't wait either to see what the little guy looks like!!!

SM is fine and we are calling twice a week instead of the usual every week. I am gonna send the ED a nice note and flowers some time after the birth to tell her the good news. I have talked to her 2-3 times since we met and she donated for us. Told her SM was pregnant. Talked to her after about 12 weeks and said things were looking good. Then I left a message that all was progessing fine and SM was about 24 weeks. This was the ED's 1st egg donation so I want her to know what a WONDERFUL thing she has done!!!! And this is SM's 1st surrogacy so of course she is gonna get the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!!!!
