    Ok, this is NOT funny...

We are gonna buy a futon thing for the nursery since someone will inevitably have to sleep there on those nights when the baby is eating every 3 hours. We talked to this VERY NICE guy who has been in the futon business for like 25 years. He has a 4 year old and said up until delivery time his OB said his wife was gonna have a boy. Now u/s to me are pretty OBVIOUS if you are having a boy. The man said they had been through a lot ttc this little baby, several IVFs, and when they finally got pg they had many u/s and a month or so before deliver they had a HUGE shower where they got all sorts of blue baby boy stuff.

When the baby was born it was a GIRL!!! OMG!!! I hope this doesn't happen to us! I can understand they think a baby is a girl because the "pee wee" isn't showing but when the u/s techs and Dr. see a "pee wee"... um.... a "pee wee" is a "pee wee"... not a leg... not an arm!!!

So all you gals don't do pink or blue cause you NEVER KNOW! Thank goodness the nursery is tan and light green-LOL!

Oh my great goodness, and our nursery is as "BOY" as can be!!!
As are the piles of clothes we have already been given by Avi's mom, who is breaking all her own Ashkenazi Jewish rules and superstitions of "bring nothing in the house till the baby is born so nothing will go wrong" and keeps shopping: "I couldn't help myself, they were SO cute! Just hide them in the basement"

We will have another fetal growth u/s on the 13th. I will make SURE to have the tech and Peri check AGAIN that it's still a Quinlan and not a Sasja!

Here's to hoping that everyone has competent u/s techs, OB's and Peris with good High-Herz u/s machines so all the predictions in september will be right!

I've heard of that happening before too. At our u/s with dd the tech told us they've got a 75% chance of getting it right. We'd already decided not to find out anyway but that was another thing we took into consideration.

Barging in from the October boards but on the boarder since my due date is October 1st who knows. Anyway, I have been told 80% it's a girl but that our baby doesn't like to cooperate and when I was at a christening DH's cousin's wife told me how her friend when pregnant was told at every u/s that she was having a girl up till the end and gave birth and boom it's a boy so the paranoid person I am registered for all green and neutral stuff and I'm painting the room a beige and green.
