    How does this board work?

I've been on ft many moons ago and it's all a bit different now. It took some navigating but I found this board. My Partner and I have been together for about 4 years. I was married to a horrid man before she and I found one another. We are planning on starting the whole fertility thing soon. Is this board sectioned off for those who are ttc and who are already parents, or is everyone in one area? Just wondering. Anyway, I'm glad to be here!

WELCOME! You will find tons of support on this board and/or if there are specific fertility issues or procedures, there are boards dealing with those specifics (which I found very comforting)

What type of fertility things are you starting? IVF? IUI? WHo is going through this? YOu? DP?

    Welcome!

Thanks for the support. I'll be the one who will attempt the pregnancy. My Partner is close to 40 and she has no desire to go through it. I'm 32 and I am a bit concerned about my age. Before when I was married, I used donar sperm because of his motility issue, so I am familiar with the process. Our dr uses cryocalifornia. Any feedback on them? I am anxious/scared/nervous/excited to get started. We'll be going the IUI route, can't afford the IVF.

We used California Cryobank. My RE's and OB's were all familiar with them and they're very good about their services.

DOn't be concerned about your age..I was 35 when we started IUI's and 37 when we went to RE and 38 when I got PG and 39 when I delivered and I'll be 40 when we try the frozen ones (I hope we do).

It's a rollercoaster....Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Hi and welcome to the board!
We are a mixed group here. Those who are already parents generally have dealt with infertility issues (though not all). As you may have observed, we discuss a multitude of topics.
At 32 you should not have too much trouble. Do you already have children or will this be your first?
Best of luck and feel free to post with any questions or concerns that you might have!

Welcome and congratulations on your upcoming venture into fertility treatments!! I know a lot of us have kids, but some don't and some are trying to get pregnant right now or in the near futuer, but some are not!! I think we are just a plain old good group of gals that are fun to bounce ideas off of and get advise on this and that. Again, welcome and enjoy!

Welcome to the board! I am 33 and my partner is 36. We are currently going through the IUI process. We attempted 7 IUI's with our regular ob/gyn with no luck. I start Bravelle injections on Monday after my baseline u/s with a specialist. He cannot find anything causing the problem but he thinks my odds will be much better with the injections. Good luck to you. This board has been very supportive to me through my process.

th. Some insurance companies cover the expenses. My insurance company covers some of the IUI expenses but does not cover any fertility drugs. My partner and I tried several natural IUI's with no luck so we started injections this cycle. I go back tomorrow for an ultrasound and they will decide when to do my IUI. On Friday I had about 18 eggs total and about 5 or 6 were maturing.

My insurance does cover ultrasounds and blood work. I would definitely check in with your insurance company first to find out what they will cover.

Good luck to you. Everyone on this board is very supportive. They can answer the questions you may have!

    Angie
