I have to say my DD Melanie. You know the holidays were ok before we had her but had lost something very special and I just couldn't put a finger on it until I had her. Suddenly I feel like a child again with all the holidays and I get excited for all of them but Christmas and especially this year is and will be the best because I had her.

Probably the best was given during the first year I dated dh, he gave me a David Yurman bangle. I was shocked because I had known his for about 6 weeks. I got him Versace underwear. Ok I have to go into details. I met him online and he had this snooty profile about all the things he liked. I thought it was pretty pretentious and one of the things on the list was Versace underwear. Well ok in 6 weeks I had the chance to see his underwear and he didn't have on Versace. So I figured he didn't have any and paid $80 for a pair - crazy I know but it has given years of laughs. I still have my bangle and wear it everyday. For the last few years we have not done big christmas presents for each other instead we have adopted families to give to. We do big birthday presents.

I just loved the gift DH gave me a few years ago. He gave me a note that promised he'd take me on one date a month for the next year. That started a tradition and now we always try to go out at least one day a month. He usually makes the arrangements, including the babysitter.

I have received a lot of great presents every year. But last year on Dec 13th was the greatest present I could have ever asked for, Zoey was born at 1:29 am. Just in time for the holidays. Nothing I could ever want can top that present. Dh asked me what I wanted this year I told him nothing I have everything.

    Hi

I would have to sat DS. Just watching him and DH place the star on top of the Christmas tree last year was just priceless. We shared this with our close friends.

I am cheating here but the other great present I got was an island getaway to Mauritius. It was amazing.
