    Gift ideas for DCP?

I have been racking my brain for a gift ideas and I am not sure what to get. I am getting the two main ladies that care for dd in the infant room. I don't have alot of extra to spend. I know the correct thing would to be give them either money or a gift card. Is $15.00 for ea. chinsy or would you buy them something? TIA, Jen

I would probably buy them something or make them something (baking cookies?). I think $15 each you could get a decent gift but i wouldn't go gift card route.

Here's an idea that I loved as a DCP. Get them each a magazine subscription. "Family Fun" is full of ideas teachers can use. Many magazines are running two for one specials right now.

I'm going the gift card route. Have a lot of friends that are teachers/daycare providers and after speaking to some of them they said gift card.

Something different is making frozen meals in disposable re-heatable containers. Also instead of making sweets or cookies try some h'ors doevers or a snack mix. I remember some h'ors doevers made from Parmesan cheese, frozen Spinach, and artichoke hearts. I loved getting something that wasn't sweet and I could snack on. Plants are great but if every parent gets a teacher a plant and they don't have a green thumb then that's gonna contribute to a lot of clutter. Gift certificates to restaurants that are nice for a teacher that is married and has kids (a family restaurant) because I think teachers are on such a low income that they would hardlky treat themselves to dinner out with or without kids and the card would encourage them to do so.
