Why did she cry for 2 hours straight?

Last night, Tess went to bed at the usual time of about 8PM. At about 10 she woke up crying. She cried hard for almost 2 hours. We held her, rocked her, gave her juice and crackers, used the paci, gave her Motrin and gas drops, tried putting her in bed with us. Finally, after 2 hours, I held her very tightly and held the paci in her mouth. I rocked her and sang to her and she finally went to sleep after about 15 min. of that. She's absolutely fine today.

    Any ideas?

    hmmmm nightmares? teething? Tummy ache?
I think you covered it. Landon did something similar today as well. I gave him a bottle and he shut up. Bottles pretty much take care of a lot in our house.
Hope you get some sleep tonight, I am sure she is tired today as well.

Glad that Tess is feeling better today. It could have been a number of things. She her gums could have been bothering her. I hope you all sleep much better tonight.

    Hi

Glad Tess is feeling better. It happened to my DS about 4 months ago. He is a very good boy and rarely ever cries and quite laid back and then one night he got up and just cried for about 2-3 hrs. I took him to ER and the stupid Dr told us that its a sore throat. Dr prescribed some antibiotics and sent us home. I did not give DS cos I was pretty sure that DS is not going to get up all of a sudden and scream his guts out for a sore throat.

I gave him some stuff for his tummy and he eventually settled down. I guess it was gas pockets which can be very painful. I know how distressing it is when they cry non stop. Hope she does not get another episode.

    Hugs

Are her one year molars coming in? My DD has been extra whiny and has had quite a few crying fits lately. Finally got her to let me look (or feel) in her mouth and she has one molar in and the others are working there way through. Also looks like she has another bottom tooth coming in too (she already has 8 teeth and looks like 5 more are on the way)...She changed classrooms at daycare this week and is having a hard time adjsuting there too. The guilt.

How was Tess last night? I hope she had a better nights sleep!!
