I mean, what would YOU like to discuss over here? I am trying to find OUR niche here as it seems to get little traffic. I am up for starting threads but it is discouraging to only see my name over and over under the threads. Please tell me how to make our board more attractive to others.

Honestly I come here because I search for new posts and respond if there is an interesting thread here.

I think it would be fun to have relationship quizzes, both fun ones and serious. Maybe relationship "assignments", like little things to do to make our relationships better. Any articles or advice on relationships.

    Just some thoughts!

    Crystal

I am just trying to find ways to open up communication/ease stress/bring passion back. I would love to talk about books, techniques, etc. to keep us from becoming a statistic. He's my high school sweetheart, we've been together for 14.5 years and married more than 9. Our relationship is not in any imminent danger that I can see. We are not jealous, controlling, abusive, or have addictions. There are also no secrets between us. We communicate okay, but I would like it to be better. He would like more hands-on: back rubs, kissing, love-making, hugs, all around more touching. I would also love it if we could anticipate/communicate each other's stresses. I get all stressed when it comes to dinner and tend to shut down/shut him and then kids out. When dinner is on the table I can relax. Even with a glass of wine it's very hard to make dinner or ask for help. I need to know when to take a time-out and also realize when HE needs one.

This is a book that I think is AWESOME. It helped me so much - too late but still SO MUCH just to understand what had happened - when I was in the process of divorcing my ex. And it provides such a great framework for creating a living, breathing, growing marriage.

It is called Conscious Loving: The Journey to Co-Commitment by Gay and Kathleen Hendricks. Here is a synopsis:
