I don't know about the grade but with a count that high 30% motility should still be acceptable. I'd give the andrology dept a call and have them explain their grading.

it looks like 15% were a grade 4 progression! that's great!
to give you a little idea of what the grades are...dh's first sa ALL his sperm were graded at 1+ (slow, sluggish forward progression) YUCKY.
2nd SA was a 0. NO forward movement whatsoever.
and only 20% could move at all, but still none moved forward.

so having 15% at 4 and 10% at 3 is GOOD. that means that 25% of his motile sperm are going forward fairly well.

    hope that helped a little.

ok, reread your post, and while the 30% motility isn't great, it IS good that at least SOME of the sperm are moving forward well.
    if that makes sense.

thanks for the positive words. I sometimes think that maybe we just arent meant to have another child, because i never had female problems before ttc and dh never had sperm problems ( that we know of) I just hate the thought of knowing that dd may not have a sibling, but at the same time i am so grateful for her, but i find myself worrying about her so much!!! anyways i dont know what to think of the SA but i know that i wont make him repeat it!
