I married my husband 2 1/2 years ago. He new I had my tubes tied after I had my youngest son. We figured we could do IFV when we were ready to have a child. We started about 3 years ago. All the testing was routine until he had his semen test done. We could not belive it when it came back with a 0 count. After 3 more tests and a testicular biopsy he was diagnosed with azzospermia. He just does not make any sperm. We are devasting. Him more so since I am lucky enough to have 2 beatiful and healthy sons. It took us another year to decide to use a donor. We did our first IVF in 12/04. BFN. We did our first FET on 4/22. My beta is on 5/2. I don't feel to good about it though cause I have been cramping alot since 4dpt. This will destroy my dh since we cant afford to do another one. Long story short, it takes time to deal with the fact that dh will never have a biological child, but it does get easier with time.

I don't know what we are going to do now. I guess take some time off and try and save up some more money. You know what kills me, most insurance companies will cover abortions, but they don't want to cover creating a child. DH is crushed. I keep feeling like a failure. Thanks for the support.

I am so very sorry! You are definitely not a failure - IF is NOT OUR FAULT!! And everything about it sucks!! Including the stupid insurance. I really hope you can try again - I hear it takes most couples more than once to get pg. Hang in there - we're with you!

Ok, here is the thing. I thought it was a BFN because i took a FRED and it was negative. I had my blood test last night and they called me today and said that I have a beta of 16.9. They consider that a positive but told me to be cautious. Now I dont know what to think. Does anyone know if I can go on to have a pregnancy with a low beta like that? I have to go back on Thursday to retest. I pray to god that they double.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what beta numbers are "supposed" to look like after FET - maybe the gals on the FET board can help? If your RE is telling you it's positive, then that's great news!!!! Definitely keeping you in my thoughts and keeping my fingers crossed!! Please keep us updated!
