    nursery wall decor

    Hi!
I'm starting to get the nursery ready, EARLY.
When DS was born I was put on bedrest at 32 wks and couldn't get anything done. I'm only 28.5wks now but am not waiting just in case.
Anyway, mom is making the quilt, curtain, bedskirt, so won't need much there, but I am looking for a curtain rod with stars or moons (theme is moon and stars) and some wall stickers (don't want to do wallpaper, did it for DS and what a mess) so if we change themes later we can just peel them off. I find a lot of Disney and other "character" wall stickers but can't find plain mood and stars anywhere. Has anyone seen these?
Thanks a bundle. I hope you are all having fun planning your nurseries too!

    Katy,

I love the theme. That should be fun to decorate.

Try Micheal's Craft Store or Joanne's Fabric or even Home Depot or Lowe's. I know they all have websites you can order from if you don't have one in your area. Good luck and have fun.

Katy - Pottery Barn Kids has some star curtian rods, two different kinds, but they're expensive.. then I found these
    http://homedecorators.com/detail.php...s=yes&spec=420
JC Penney has plain wooden rods in different colors with wood balls on the end you could stencil stars and moons on to look like the Pottery barn ones..jcpenny rods

this is all i could find for wall decals..http://bluemoontoys.com/FunnyFriends/Decals/decals.htm

    Hi Katy,

FOr both my nurseries, I used stencils. Now I have NO IDEA how to stencel, so I just tape them to the wall, trace the inside onto the wall in pencil and paint it a single color. It's really easy. CHeck out this site, this is where I bought them this time (the stars) http://stencils4u.com/catalog/nursery.html

I have also bought custome lettering one time use stencils from this place. http://www.stencilplanet.com They are really easy to use and both places have lots of cool stuff for nurseries!!

    Good Luck!

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I actually found a curtain at walmart of all places; looks almost exactly like one at pottery barn kids (sheer with gingham stars) but a fraction of the cost; the rods/finials at walmart aren't nearly as pretty as the pottery barn ones but will do just fine.
Thanks you all for helping; I had fun looking at all the websites.
