    Leavin' on a jetplane

My flight leaves at 8.30 tonight for Ireland. I am longing to be in the bosom of my family for 2 whole weeks. I just want to wallow in it all. This is the first baby in our family for 18 years (my nephew is 18) so you can imagine the excitment over this pregnancy. For my parents it feels like a first grandchild all over again. They are quite elderly now (78 and 79) and I expect they wont have the same energy for this little one. But thats OK. This such a wanted baby and is a gift for the our whole family.
I would of course love to shop Ireland for baby things but alas I need to travel light as I cant lift anything. That is going to be quite the challenge. If I get carried away I will just have to have stuff shipped to me. Oh my, I think it is happening to me. You know the thing where you just want your child to have everything. Michael and I have spoken about how we dont want too many "things" for the baby. But that will remain to be seen. Sentimentality takes over .
I will be checking in as much as I can with "my girls" (my name for you) and I hope you are all well and healthy and happy until I get back.
    Keep safe,

    Love Grainne

Enjoy your trip and have lots of fun with your family. We all say the same thing about not buying too much for the baby but baby stuff is way too cute you can't help yourself.

I hope you have a WONDERFUL time and a safe trip! Enjoy every single minute!
I do know what you mean about it being so far apart for grandchildren. My dd Kaelyn is two years old and the next oldest granchild is 17 with the oldest being 18. SO it was a LONG time in between grandchildren for my parents and she is the ONLY girl. The love of my parents life i believe!
Let us know how things are going and above all, have the BEST time ever!!!
All of "your girls" will be waiting for you when you get back!!!
    HUGE HUGS!

Thanks for all your well wishes.

I dont think you will get a chance to miss me as I think I am addicted to FT. I will find a way. There are worst things to be addicted to, dont ya think?
