Question I'm still here....name question also

    Hi girls!
Sorry I haven't been around in the last few days. Things have been so hectic!!! I have been dealing with a sick dd, a sick dh and to top it off I am sick AGAIN!!! Back before Christmas I came down with something and literally coughed for almost a month! Well, I am coughing up a lung again!!! Hopefully it won't last as long this time around though. I am sick of being SICK!!!!!
We are finally getting the ball rolling on finishing our upstairs. Thank goodness as I guess it would be a good thing if this baby actually had a place to sleep once she moves out of our room. My dh was going to try to do it all himself, but thankfully he has decided to hire someone to do it. I feared that if I waited for him to do it it would never get done!!!!!
Ok, now for my name question. Dh and I are really leaning toward the name Ashlee. Even though it is kind of common I really think that it is a pretty name, and always have. I also like the way Ashlee and Olivia flow when you say them together (which I am sure I will being doing alot of ). Anyway, there is only one thing that is stopping me from using that name. When I was a little girl we had a cat named Ashley. Do you think it is weird if I name my dd the same name as my cat? Not many people are going to know that I once had a cat that name but still. Now, I am really wishing that we hadn't named our cat that as I want to use that name but not have to associate it with my cat. Does that make sense? Would you still use the name anyway if you liked it? I am so weird when it comes to this name stuff!!!!!
Thanks for any input. Now I am going to try to catch up on as many posts as I can.

    Jen,

YOU ARE TOO CUTE! I love the name ashlee...and I don't think that having had a cat named ashley when you were a child should preclude you from naming your daughter that. Now if you were going to name her Spot....we'd need to chat!

I'm sooooo sorry that you are sick. It just happens that way that the whole house gets sick when one gets sick. How come the kids and dad get sick together and you have to take care of them...then when you get sick you still have to take care of them???HHMMMMMM....doesn't really seem fair!

    I vote for Ashlee~~

It's rotten that you are sick again. I hope you are feeling better soon and the same for DD and DH. Do your best to get some rest. I know easier said than done.

As for the name Ashlee, I think it's a lovely name. Who's going to remember you had a cat by that name anyway?

I'm sorry you're sick again. I hope you and your family get better soon.

As for the name, I'd go for it. Don't worry about the fact that you had a cat with the same name, it just shows that you really like the name. I love the name Ashlee and it would be on our list but close friends of our have already used the name.

According to my DH..yes it's weird to name her Ashlee when you had a cat named that..but...you have to know the history..

I wanted to name our baby girl Stormy after our current cat whom I LOVE!!!! That was a BIG FAT NOOOOOO!!!

So...I don't see anything wrong with it...and like you said...nobody would really know, since it is a *people* name!

Gosh...I hope you feel better...I know how you feel...right now I'm having severe allergies....and, is it just me or do you feel like you're going to somehow injure the baby everytime you HACK??? I just get so paranoid!!!

    Thanks so much everyone!!!
I really think that we are going to go with Ashlee. Now, if we can just find a middle name....ugh!!! This name stuff is so hard!!!!!

Kathy-you are so funny!!! I used to have a dog named Oreo maybe I will consider using that name as well!!

Lisa-Yes, everytime I cough I feel so bad for my poor baby. Dh says that the reason why she is so active is b/c the poor thing doesn't know how to sleep b/c I make so much noise coughing.
