Wow, you're pretty early to have taken the 1 hr test unless you've had GD before. I've had GD for both pgs, so my ob has me taking my blood sugar a couple of times per week already. I don't know if he plans to even have me take the GTT or just assume that I'll have GD.

Most people who fail the 1 hr pass the 3 hr test just fine. Even if you have GD, it's not that bad. Just have to balance starch/sugar with protein. Good luck!!

I don't believe most people do the glucose test until around 20 weeks or so. I am trying to remember from last time. I do know alot of people that fail the 1 hr and go on to pass the 3 hr. Good Luck!!

I had GD before so I have to take the 1 hour test next week (at 14 weeks). The 3 hour test stinks having to sit there that long but don't stress about it. Even if you have GD it is controllable.....better to know you have it and be able to monitor it then go on not knowing. Good luck!

I am not real sure why they did the test so early, I think its just part of our orientation. Military hospitals do things differently I guess.

Wow, I'm suprised they are doing it so early!! I don't think I even did my 1 hour glucose test til well after the 20 week mark last time! I passed, so I didn't have to do the 3 hour test.
