I was kind of interested to see what everyone does. I was curious how physical everyones job is. I work in Physical Therapy which can be a demanding job on certain days depending on the patients I have. I do only work part-time though which makes it easier.

Well, I am a SAHM to my 3 yrd DS and 18 mth old DD. I can hardly keep up. My DD is a firecracker and I have to lift/ remove her off of everything all the time. My DS is a complete Mommy's boy and always wants me to hold him. So most of the physical stuff I do is lifting. The upside is that I have been able to rest and nap during their naptime.

I'm a stay-at-home mommy to my two-year-old twins! Boy do they keep me busy!! My two also like to be held a lot (we're working on that) and sometimes both want to be held at the same time!! That's 50+ lbs! I feel like I'm always on the go, but I do try and nap when my two are down, which helps a lot!

I'm a service rep, I sit behind a desk all day which is incredibly boring but at least I don't have to worry about any physical strains.

I have an office desk job. The worst part is sitting all day. My last pg I had to get up and take a walk every hour. I expect the same this time.

    My Mood
    Tired
I am a real estate agent. I get to choose my own hours. I have decreased my efforts as of late since my MS is so bad in the afternoons. I need to have my nap from 1-3!

I'm a stay at home mom to an almost 3 year old. He keeps me on my toes and I get so tired. Luckily he still naps so I have been napping in the afternoon while he naps. He does still want me to lift and carry him quite a bit and that is getting tough on my back - my nurse practitioner told me not to bend over and carry him.

    HI -
Im an ICU RN and I would say my job is quite physical. I work full time and I did during my last pregnancy too. I worry at times it might be too much but, I really watch myself and ask for help, good body mechanics. I worry more from the other occupational hazards like infectious diseases, xray etc

I am an RN on an inpatient oncology unit. I would have to say, like Tashibelle did, that my job is quite physical. Not only am I on my feet running around all day (and I have the beginning of Varicose veins already to show for it), but I also have some heavy (as in busy, bedbound) patients at times. Also like stated above, I worry about enviornmental stuff as well. Many of my patients are on chemotherapy, and although I no longer administer it personally, I am still surrounded by it all the time, and there's always the possibility of a spill, not to mention all the infections that my immuno-suppressed patients get. I work 40+ hours a week, but have a feeling that I will probably cut down to at least part time near the end.
