So excited to be here, Finally!

    Hi ladies,

Im 6w5d and due 1/24/06, after battling with dh low sperm count for 4yrs, we conceived completely natural which was a big suprise! yesterday i went to 2nd appt and had the dreaded pap, Doc said the baby's hb isn't usually heard until 9wks, Is that accurate?
    Good luck to you all.

    CONGRATS!!!

WE also have male factor and have been blessed with a natural miracle pregnancy after going through IVF for our first two kids. I guess those RE's don't always know it all!! LOL

You can usually see a HB via ultrasound between 6-7 weeks. Hearing the HB with a doppler usually happens between 9-12 weeks. I have a doppler and heard my baby's HB yesterday at 9w2d. So you have about 2-3 more weeks to go. Are you planning on renting or buying a doppler? It is amazing to hear.

    Welcome to the board!!

Congrats and welcome to the BB!!

I don't know if you're referring to HEARING the h/b or SEEING the h/b, but with our twins, we saw both heartbeats at our first u/s at 8wks (although I know it's possible to see them sooner). I don't remember the first time we actually heard the heartbeats. I haven't had my first appt yet, but I'm anxious to see that little flicker on the screen!
