New Here..... Had First IUI This Morning....

Hello everyone! I am new to the website. I had my first IUI this morning. I am a 32 year old hispanic female who was diagnosed with PCOS in September 2003. I have undergone and HCG, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and ovary drilling. My DH and I have been married for 1 year and 7 months. He and I are both ready to be parents, but I am having problems due to my PCOS.

I tried taking Clomid for 3 months, but it didn't work. I even did the Repronex injections while on Clomid, and my estrogen level stayed low and my follicles didn't mature.

On January 28, 2005, I started with the Follistem injections. My follicles matured very well. I did my Ovidril injection this past Saturday night. I did my IUI this morning, and I am praying to God that it works.

I wish IVF were an option for us, but it is a very expensive procedure that we just cannot afford right now. We do have health insurance, but they do not pay for the IVF or IUI to be performed. They don't even cover the fertility medication.

I know that all of you are a tight knit group who are there for one another. I hope to make friends with many of you as we are all going through the same thing!

Take care & good luck to all of you!

    Jeanette

    Hope to be sometime soon!!

    Welcome Jeanette,

I just finished my first cycle of gonal-f and will have my IUI tomorrow. I too have had an HSG, and two laps, however my Dx is male factor. It will be nice to have someone to obsess over every symptom during the 2WW.

    The more the merrier!!
