It depends on how bad it is. I had a pretty mild case with one cycle and just waited it out. (Once the hcg gets out of your system it gets better--that's why if you get pg it lasts longer) If it gets serious and you have vomiting and lots of fluid in your abdomen some people have had to get admitted to the hospital for fluids. Mostly it is a watch and wait--keep hydrated, limit your activity kind of thing.

Are you still having that pain on one side? Did you get the u/s?
    Are you having bloating?

Hope you are doing all right

My right ovary is pretty sore, my lef tnot so bad. I am not sure if I am overreacting. I may go in tomorrow, just to be on the safe side.

It is sensitive when I poke at my tummy, no other symptoms thought.

What I had and what I have heard from people is more of a general bloating (I basically could not zip my pants!) and I did have some pain near my right ovary (which was where all the eggs were that month)

I agree that getting it checked out is a good idea.

    Let me know!

Lots of bloating and pain in the ovaries for me. I also ended up with severe pain in my ribcage area and later found out that I had fluid in my lungs. Please get it checked out if you think it could be OHSS. Definitely drink your fluids!!

When I had bad OHSS I was told to drink a minimum of three gatorades a day, two ensures and to measure all of my input and output of liquids ... that means measuring your urine. If there is a huge difference you need to be seen asap. Also they recommended laying on your left side elevated ... the fluid can overflow from your ovaries and centre around your lungs ... so stay half way sitting up or more until the symptoms disappear. I was super bloated, in pain and gained 5lbs in two days as a result. They also had me measure my middle section twice a day and if I grew more then 2 inches within a 12 hours period I needed to also be seen right away.

Inform your doctor of your symtpoms because I had ultrasounds all the time to ensure that the fluid was not collecting around my heart and lungs.

    Good Luck

Blue: I hope you are doing well--I have a question for you--I know you got pg on 3rd month of injects/IUI--did you do anything different that month or followed the same protocol?

    Thanks, Micol
