    Question Am I a fraud???

I tried posting a much more detailed version of this a few days ago, but for some reason it did not save. My DH and I are doing IVF because he has a vasectomy (15 years ago) and I have never been pregnant, so we weren't sure if I was even able. Fertility specialist advised that he do not do reversal, so we got started with IVF. So far everything is going really well, but I have been a part of this community for a while now and do not feel like I fit in, because thankfully I have no preexisting issues. I am not sure of an on-line community for women in my circumstance, so I stay here. Any one else out there dealing with male-factor (but only vasectomy)? I feel like a fraud being here and really just want to be a part of a community.

    Thanks in advance.

You're not a fraud! I've seen ladies in similar situations as you!

Unfortunately a few months ago the board took a hit. And things have been really slow moving. But hopefully soon you'll get some responses from ladies like you!

Where are you in the process?

Retrieval was on 6/30. Have 9 fertilized eggs maturing now. I get the progress report tomorrow before they go to freeze!! My doc only does FET so looking at the 24th for the first transfer. Although I travel by plane on the 28th and I am wondering if I should hold off until I return. I know a lot of people travel after transfer. I just don't know what to do.

    Thinking positive thoughts for you!

I think you should talk to your doctor. He will advise you best. But I think a trip may be a good distraction!

Welcome Luna. If the doctor is okay with it, the travel is a distraction. That would really help with the 2 week wait (2WW).

So you think doing the transfer of the 24th with travel on the 28th would be safe? That is my concern. I don't want to compromise anything. Plus I am super eager!!

If I do the transfer on the 24th, I think I would get first beta on my birthday and ironically that has been my hopeful goal all along. Months ago I thought: "how awesome would it be to find out I am pregnant on my birthday?!" BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!! There has been a lot of intuition with this whole process that seems uncanny, and yet so perfect for me!

I agree with the TTW and travel being a distraction. It should be a very stress-free trip too. Long plan ride, but I love flying so it causes me no stress. And my DH step daughter will be with me and they are like human valium.
