    Best way to dry flowers?

I want to dry some flowers. They are currently in a wreath form (had pillar candle in the middle) The flowers (roses) are still attached to the green floral block which is still damp. I strung the entire thing and hung it upside down.

For the life off me I can remember is it dark, cool place? or dark, dry/warm place?

I looked it up online and found a borax and corn meal mixture. 2 cups corn meal/1 boraxh in a cardboard box. Anyone try this before?

I really dont want to dismantle the wreath and remove the flowers from the foam. I cant wait for the foam to dry b/c I already had a 2 roses (white with blue tips) turn brown. If I use the borax/corn meal mix do I have a better chance of saving the whiteness of the roses before they go brown? I have never tried drying white roses before.

    Hi Melissa...

I saw that you can also microwave them... I would only try that first on another flower though.

The method that you posted seems to be what I have found as well. I have only hung my roses or pressed them in a big book.

I did a dark place. It was in the back of a closet in Ca. I couldnt tell you the temp...lol But I do know that when you hang them they turn a brownish color.. even my pinks had a tinge to them.

Good Luck! Maybe someone with lots of experiance will come in!
