    What does the pumpkin leaves look like when they start popping up?

    I was weeding and FORGOT I planted pumpkins under my green beans and think I may have pulled out the start of them . Oh, I hope not. Would they even be popping up yet?UGH!!!

    How long ago did you plant them? This site below says they will crack the surface in 7-14 days and put up the first two leaves within a day or two of that. Look at the picture on the left where the orange gloved hand is - that's a new sprout.

    ETA: I'm totally going to giggle at you if you pulled them up, too! But only because you know I love you and won't smack me for it! If you were pulling them, I hope you missed some!

    No I didn't pull them out. They are there and growing very well RIGHT in-between the green beans. It's every other one is a GB and then P.Thanks .

    I broke down and planted some pumpkins about a week ago and was delighted to see them coming up too! Planting them with green beans was probably a good idea. The pumpkins will be VIGOROUS growers, but by then your beans will probably be gone. Looking forward to a picture in a month or two.
