    Curtain decorating help, please?

I am really, really decorating-ly challenged. I have some fairly heavy curtains I hung in my bedroom. They have tiebacks, but I didn't have any hooks with which to anchor them. I got the hooks (cup hooks) and now I'm not sure how high to attach them.

The curtains are floor-length and the window behind them goes about 2/5ths of the way from the ceiling to the floor. IOW, it's a higher window. How high should I install the hooks for the tiebacks?

I'd attach a picture of them, but my camera is nonfunctional.

    katrack-

I would try them several different ways--temporarily tack them with a straight pin and see which I like better. We have blinds in all of our windows, I haven't gotten as far as thinking of curtains.

I typically like to hang them about 2/3 down from the top of the window... maybe 3/4... If the window is very high, I might go a bit lower.

I like the tie backs about 2/3 of the way down too.
