    Choroid Plexus Cysts? (PG ment)

    Hi Ladies,

I was just wondering if anyone else knows anything about Choroid Plexus Cysts? I'm 18 weeks along with twins & During my level II u/s a few days ago
they found 2 on baby b brain. She has no other problems aside from this.
However they had me go directly to a genetic counselor & offered me
an Amnio on the spot. I had the Nuchal Translucancy test @ 13 weeks
u/s & blood put both babies @ 1: 10,000 chance for downs or Trisomy 18.
Now that baby b has the CPC she has been moved to 1 :1,100 For
Trisomy 18. I'm just worried even though my Peri said that because she is
growing perfectly just like her twin (they both measured the same size)
this is a good sign, along with the fact that she looks perfect in every
other way. He said my risk for the amnio still out weighs the risck of T-18.
So I declined the amnio & my next u/s is in 5 weeks to check her again.

    Any input would be great.

i know that the cpc is linked to t18 as a possible indicator but i know there are many who spot a cpc who do not have t18. did they se any otehr signs?? a t18 baby would hold their hands in a very unusual position, they would also have a strawberry shaped head when viewed from the top rather than rounded and most likely you would have seen some calcifications or "bright spots" in the heart wall.
let me poke around some and see what i can find out for you on cpc.
in the meantime sending you many many s
