I am not sure if this is the one you are referring to, but this is a top rated recipe on AllRecipes and one of my most requested. It is deeeelish! My kids even eat it!

    Strawberry Spinach Salad I
Someone brought this salad to a pot luck dinner and I had to have the
recipe. I have made it many, many times since then and I have been asked for
the recipe every time I bring it somewhere. It is also a great way to get
kids to eat spinach! Prep Time: approx. 10 Minutes. Ready in: approx. 1 Hour
    10 Minutes. Makes 4 servings.

I've made this dozens of times except that I make candied almonds. Toss almonds in melted butter then toss with white sugar. Put them in the oven for a few minutes till they carmelize.

I also double the amount of strawberries.

Thanks for posting this. I have made it before, but not for a couple of years. We are having company from out of town this weekend and I think I will make this.
