Dinner Club. Anyone else do something like this?

A couple of friends of mine and I are starting a dinner club. We will rotate between houses and make a dinner together. The prep and cooking will be part of the evening. I think we will have the host choose the menu and buy the ingredients, but I was thinking we could also share the shopping so would be a little less work and expense for the host.

I was wondering if anyone else did anything like this, or maybe a progressive dinner. We were talking about a progressive dinner, but we live too far apart from each other.

I've never done it but it sounds fun. My parents used to do a Progressive dinner with their boat club. As for the boat club, no one really has a boat.... or maybe one person does lol.... They would go from house to house for drinks, appetizers, salads, main course, dessert.....

I never have, but would love to. Most of my friends despise cooking, so it wouldn't work for me. Let us know how this goes, it sounds like fun.
