Not sure if you are still looking for dopplers b/c I see this post is nearly a month old but I thought I would respond since you didn't hear from anyone else.....

I used a Doppler when I was pregnant with my son (he is now 2.5 yrs old).....From what I recall, I think it was from a company called baby beat.

    BabyBeat Audio Fetal Doppler

This is the one that I rented. It doesn't count the beats for you, but you can upgrade to one that does. I think you can even get ones that record the heartbeat as well. For me, I went with simple b/c I mainly wanted it to hear the heartbeat and I just calculated the rate when I wanted to. I though the company was great to work with...package came with everything I needed, u/s gel etc and I just had to return it in the packaging it came in. I don't have experience with anyone else, but I was pleased with them.

I hope that helps you or someone else!

Thanks so much for the info! I decided that not buying the Doppler was best, since I would panic if I couldn't hear the heartbeat. Ah, the joys of infertility-induced PTSD!! thanks for the info--I am sure someone will find it who can use it.

We didn't have this kind of tool but I have used one when I monitored my aunt's fetal heart rate when she was in the hospital. This tool actually works great and accurate. It makes heart monitoring easier compared to using stethoscope. The thing is, you have to put some KY jelly to make the sound a lot easier to hear.

Wannabebe-- To tell you the truth, I think I am still in denial. Lol. When I hear myself telling a friend I'm pregnant, it almost feels like I'm lying. Hahaha. The Doppler helps me stay convinced that I am actually pregnant. I even hardly believe the u/s pics that that bebe in inside of ME!! lol Talk about IF PTSD. Oh- and the nausea still at 12 weeks is a firm reminder too.

I hear you on the IF PTSD!! I think that God granted me second trimester continued morning sickness for just that reason: to make sure that I can wake up every day and say "yep... Still pregnant!" we are the only people on earth who can feel so happy when we feel so crappy! Enjoy it the best you can and know that with every passing day your baby is growing stronger. You CAN trust your body to grow this baby. You DO deserve this pregnancy. You are HERE. Hooray!!
