Just for fun: Can you express by hand?

I've never mastered expressing by hand. Maybe a drop or two but that's it. I had a coworker once who confessed that it was fun to sit on her bed and squirt milk all the way over onto her dresser mirror!
So which one of us is unusual? LOL!

Yes I can, but I never liked to. It's slower and I get tired of doing it. Usually, I would just do it for cereal or to take the pressure off when too full. I always felt it was messy, tiring, and not as clean (since I couldn't have it go directly into a clean bottle...

I've threatened to squirt dh from across the room, but never have....Joey is over 6 months old and I still have leakage problems (should have bought stock in breast pads!) and if he nurses one side, the other side runs like a river! Most people told me "this will balance itself out" but here we are, six months later and it's still happening!!

I've done it but mainly just to relieve a clogged duct. It's too messy.

I voted "maybe a few drops"...however I can squirt milk across a room. But I don't think I'd ever be able to get enough for cereal by just hand expression.

Can't say I've ever tried to see how far I can squirt but I have had to hand-express a few times when I didn't have my pump with me. Like my recent business trip when DH didn't unload my pump out of the trunk when he dropped me at the airport, and I didn't realize it until it was too late

Here's a question -- where is the weirdest place you've had to hand-express? Mine would be into the toilet in a judge's private restroom during the middle of a trial. We had taken a break to talk to the judge in chambers and I knew I needed to "relieve" myself, so I asked if we could have a couple of minutes for a bathroom break before continuing. The judge told me to just go ahead and use his restroom. Oh, if only he'd known what I was doing in there

I've tried to relieve pressure when I was too tired (mid of night) to go pump...just never worked for me... I'd of been up the creek if I REALLY needed to pump and didn't have mine with me!!!!

Me too... I finally, after weaning to mornings only at 13.5 months, don't have to wear nursing pads... ugh!!!!!

I can squirt but I've only ever done it by accident or when relieving a blocked duct. Hmm, wonder how far I could go...
