    Thawed EBM

Does anyone who pumps and freezes bm notice that when it is thawed, it is not as "clean" looking as freshly pumped bm? I notice that the thawed EBM has more bits of "stuff" floating in it. Here's my comparison: the freshly pumped has no creamy stuff, after it is chilled in the refrigerator there is some thick cream on the top that gets mixed in as I shake it up and eventually dissolves back into the milk, but the frozen-then-thawed ebm still has stuff floating in like, like the cream doesn't dissolve.

Does this make any sense. Don't know why I am suddenly worrying about this, but it just dawned on me, that maybe that is a sign that the milk isn't good anymore

It's normal but it does look yucky. Spoiled milk smells barfy - you're fine if it smells decent.

That happens quite a bit with me. The nurses in the NICU say I have a high fat content to my milk at times and not to worry. They actually try to suck up the globs to give the kiddos!!

Usually if I swish my around gently, it eventually dissolves...especially after being warmed a bit. It's not a big deal though...just that good cream!

Same thing happens to me. Also, my frozen milk smells a little metalic...but Kaden drinks it just fine.
