    maternity support

Just thought I'd share my new find with my Hot Momma's. 2 weeks ago when I was in L&D with the ligament pain the resident gave me a script for a Jenique Maternity Support. Well I have had it now for almost a week and I am glad I have it. It is super ugly - like a huge pair of underwear with a triangle piece of fabric that you velcro to a corresponding stip along the back - make sense? It is supposed to help support your pelvis and ligaments. I was skeptical at first, but insurance covered all but 12$ of it so I figured I'd try it.

I do think it is really helping - I am less uncomfortable especially after being on my feet all day and less sore getting up from a sitting or resting position. It doesn't have any back support but so far that hasn't been an issue.

I had to get the next size up becuase it is not stretchy but I figure that I can always get a bigger size again if needed. I had to order it from a women's medical supply place - they also have supportive stockings and BF'ing stuff.

Anyway - thought it might help someone else - especially as we all get bigger!

Thanks for the info Susan...I think I saw some kind of support think in the pharmacy and wondered if it worked.

I'm still going to yell at you and say...
You probably wouldn't need it if you didn't work so much!!!!

I hope you're getting more breaks than before!

I was thinking of getting one earlier this week but was wondering if it works. Thanks for posting. I plan on asking the peri about one (so he can prescribe for insurance??) tomorrow.
