    May not get nuchal now!!

I just called the dr. office to find out how to get there and they said since I didn't schedule my counseling, I may not be able to do it. Well, tomorrow I will be 12w5d and I know the window of opportunity is closing!

It was all a misunderstanding b/c my ob office scheduled the u/s and blood portion and forgot to tell me to schedule the counseling part! UGH!!

    Hopefully they'll get me in!!

I would explainto them that you can do the scan and blood work and still schedule the counselling. I mean, it wasn't done by the same person for me - so what's the difference.

Either way - don't stress if you can't get it. You're only 31 so your risks are much lower. AND even with my results, my counselor said that when they do the 18 week scan, they look again at the fold so if I was at risk then, I could opt for an amnio.

I hope they get you in there!

oh, erin...that stinks. i hope they can squeeze you in there. it's their scheduling error, not yours, so they should fix the problem they made. let us know what happens!

That totally blows! I didn't even have any counseling! They definitely dropped the ball on you and should have scheduled everything at one time.
I hope it gets straightened out and you get to have it!

Okay, it's rescheduled for Monday now. All three parts. BUT, is that too late? I will be 13 weeks and 1 day???

great they got you in, i think if my memory serves me correctly the optimum window for nuchal scan is 11-14 weeks, with alex i was 13 weeks and 6 days, and thats when we found out the sex as it was a really good scanner, and a very good tech, but he did say take it with a pinch of salt as it pretty early, but he was right, and it was quite obviously a boy. good luck for monday.

Whew - glad they fit you in!

I just checked my brouchure and although my doctor said to call and schedule it between 11-13 weeks, the brochure said:
First Trimester Prenatal Screening for Down Syndrom and Trisomy 18 offers a risk evaluation before 14 weeks of pregnancy.

So I don't think 1 day would make that much of a difference.

My brochure says the same thing as Flea's so I think you are fine. Glad that you were able to get it rescheduled. I'm sure that you will find out that your baby is totatlly fine and get another great u/s in the process!
