    Growth spurts

Can you tell when your LO is having a growth spurt? I can't say that I remember them being real dramatic in my babies.....until NOW! (Unless my memory is failing me which is always possible).

Gabe is just eating like crazy the last few days. I put him on my digital scale and it says he is almost 13 pounds now at 6 weeks. It seems like he literally outgrew his size 1 diapers over the weekend. I am in awe of the speed of his growth.

My husband was born at 7-1/2 pounds and was 40 pounds on his first birthday. I'm afraid he is following in daddy's footsteps. I'm going to have to start doing back excercises.

Are your LO's growth spurts obvious?

    My baby getting big.....

With Brooklyn, she will want to eat every hr. to hour and a half. Then, she'll go through a few days of sleeping a lot. I have no idea what she weighs right now because our insurance has changed and I have to find another pediatrician (ugh, I really hate that). So, today I have already made some phone calls and I am waiting on a call back. Brooklyn has a cold and I don't want it to get worse...so I'm trying to get her into a dr. (even though we don't have our insurance cards yet).
    Sorry...didn't mean to rant.

I think so, when she eats a TON and SLEEPS a lot! Lately (like past 3 days), she has been eating 5oz bottles consistently (which is new). I feel like she almost needs to try some 6 oz ones soon.

She's now slept through the night 3 times, and still naps a lot during the day. She has been awake more during the day. But lately she's been a little more nappy, so I think with the eating and sleeping she's growing again.

Amy - 40 pounds by age one? Seriously? OMG.........

WooHoo Callie! She is on a roll huh? She is exactly one month older than Gabe so hopefully good things are in store for us next month. Though I'm afraid the BF vs. formula thing is going to cause a delay in our sleeping through the night.

YES!!! 40 pounds! His nickname was "TANK"!

I can't seem to tell with Madi. She is the most unpredictable baby.

Maybe now since she has been sleeping all day!

That is exactly how dd was. That makes it so hard.I could never tell what her cries meant. The only thing I could always count on was that she was unpredictable!
