recovery time for laparoscopic salpingectomy for Hydrosalphinx?

Has anyone had a laparoscopic salpingectomy? I need have my tube removed for hydrosalphinx, but have never had a laparscopy. Just curious how many days of recovery before returning to an office job.

Hi Rhoda. I just had a bi-lateral salpingectomy last Weds. I also had an eptopic preg removed. I am a retail manager (on my feet running like a nut all day!) and I went back to work on Tuesday and was okay. Recovery wasn't as bad as I thouhgt it would be-didn't need to take pain meds prescribed. On to IVF! Good luck to you!

Smittygirl - thanks for responding. Good to know! Surgery sure has improved! I had a tube removed when I was 21...ectopic, near rupture...almost died from it. But back then laproscopy wasn't offered. I was in the hopsital 4 days.

I'm sorry for your surgery...setbacks stink! But now you can move on to IVF and be confident that your success rates are normalized! Even though IVF bipasses the tubes, the tubes can still cause issues...like toxicity in the uterus.

Good luck with your cycle!! sticky vibes for a Big FAT POSITIVE!!
