Sher Singh has been involved with children and the educational system for over 15 years. Her affiliation with several organizations exemplifies her interest in this area. She serves on the Mid-Hudson School-to-Work Exec. Consortium, Partners for Children of Orange County Exec Council.

Sher is in serving her second term as District Director for Central Hudson PTA. She is at the end of her second year as Parenting Chairman for the New York State PTA. Also on the state PTA she was the Arts-in Education chairman responsible also for a state school wide arts competition. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Safe Homes Project, for battered women and children.

Sher has and still serves on many service/professional/trade organizations. She is very active in her community and has been the
recipient of many awards and recognitions. A mother of 3 children
herself, Sher knows first hand the raising of children in today's society.
