Anyone have Success on Follistim?

This is my second round of Follistim injectables. I have PCOS so the first round was done cautiously and on little doses. I stimmed for 20 days before getting 1 follicle to mature to a 20mm. I triggered and did timed intercourse (my husband is in great condition) but got a BFN. So this Cycle My doses were increased. My baseline E2 was 34.6. I started out on 100iu of follistim and did that for 5 days and went in for U/S and BW. My ultrasound showed nothing over 10mm and my E2 was 62.2. I went back 3 days later for another U/S and BW. This time I had several follies over 10mm (wasn't told how many) and my E2 was 299. So my doctor decided that since I have PCOS he was going to be cautious and he lowered my dose to 75iu. I took that for 2 days and went back in and found out that I have a 15.4mm, 14.4mm, and 10.7mm on my right ovary and a 13.7mm, 13.6mm, 10.4mm and 3- 9mm on my left ovary. My E2 was 382. He then upped my dose to 125iu for two night and I go back in tommorrow for more bw and u/s. They say I will more than likely trigger tommorrow night. So my question is this:

1. Has anyone had a similar situation?
2. If so, What was your outcome?
3. And do you think I am at risk for multiples?
4. Do you think I have a high chance of getting pg this time.

My husband and I have been trying for over 2 years. He is 25 and I am 24. PCOS is our only problem as I dont ovulate without the follistim. This will be out last cycle of timed BD and then I will ask for IUI even though the doc says we don't need it!

PG/MC/Child mentioned

It's been a while for me..but we did three rounds on Follistim with IUI (DH is fine, but we are paying a lot so figured why not give us our best chances). First round we couldn't trigger because my estrogen was too high. Had to sit out a round because of a huge cyst. Second round I got PG, but lost it right away. Third round I got PG with my now almost 11 month old son. I think we had about 7 follices that all could've produced. However, my RE tirggered me with a drug that isn't as strong I guess. It's been about two years so I don't remember all of the specifics. We are getting set to start again though.

Anyway, good luck!

I just started my first cycle with Clomid/Follistim. I only have 1 follicle at 22mm on the right. I triggered last night and I am scheduled for an IUI tomorrow morning (36.5 hours later). I'll let you know in two weeks if it works for us!

loss ment...LC ment

I did 3 cycles with Follistim/Ovidrel and IUI and got pg on the last cycle, with a cancelled IUI and BMS a day after (48 hrs after trigger). I have PCOS as well, and for the first two cycles, I didnt have very many or very good sized follies...but cycles 3 and 4 were better (I cant remember my exact Follistim dosage but it was significantly higher than cycles 1/2). The cycle I conceived on, I had only a few follies, and none more than 19mm but apparently something went right

Prior to the injectible cycles in late 2007/2008 I was taking Clomid. I conceived 2x with just Clomid (50mgs and 100mgs) and 3x with Clomid (150mg) and Metformin XR 1000mg (all three were lost, one was tubal, one was a blighted ovum and one 19w unexplained loss). Clomid was not doing anything throughout mid2007 so the RE moved us onto injectibles in October 07.

Good luck!!!
