Confused and Frustrated

I am new to this site but very greatful for it!

My DH and I have been TTC for nearly two years now. I had an HSG test about a month or so ago and initially, it came back saying that both of my tubes were blocked and IVF was our only option. Needless to say, I was deistated and I cried for a week. I was then referred to a fertility specialist and after blood work, an ultrasound and ANOTHER HSG test, everything was normal this time. Even the HSG! He says the first time I may have had a spasm which prevented the dye from going through.

At any rate, with all that said, I am so confused! Why are we not getting pregnat!? DH had an SA and everything was normal! What is adding to my frustration is that I have to wait another three weeks before we can sit down and talk to our specialist about how to move forward. The only explanation was that sometimes it is just "unexplained."

Does anyone have an idea bbout what they do after this? I am such a loss. As crazy as it sounds, I kinda felt better when I though my tubes were blocked cause at least they could put their finger on a "reason". At this point, they have no idea outside of them having no ideas

Confused. Nothing to fix. But then the chances of success are high also. It takes me on average over one year to get pg and I've lost all five pgs; still since we are unexplained the RE gives us 70% chance of success for a subsequent pg. Really? Is he crazy?! However, this is a well known clinic. Mind you, now that I am years older he suggests treatments to get pg; too risky to wait another year.

Years back I had an HSG that showed both tubes open and then later an HSG that showed one blocked. I got the spasm explanation. I wanted that explanation. Come to find out the tube was partially blocked. Perhaps that explains why it took so long for us to conceive from the get go. The doc says it explains just the one pregnancy loss, but not necessarily the others... grrr...

Frustrating you say? I agree.
