To anyone who doesn't fit in ANYWHERE!!
After 13 years of being unexplained, my neurologist actually "stumbled" on to an interesting development in me that has made some pretty incredible sense.
After clear HSG's, regular menstrual cycles, no pregnancies, no nothing, my dr's had pretty much just summed me up as unexplained and left it at that, suggesting IVF. I wasn't quite that content considering I really didn't fit in anywhere. I wasn't quite a PCOS, not quite a cushing's disease, and not quite a syndrome X, although I am diabetic. I had normal hormone testing, normal uterus, open fallopian tubes and ovulatory cycles..and yet..nothing. Until....I was sent for a sleep study. And it was discovered that I have Obstructive Hypopnea...meaning that I breathe SO shallowly at night that I deoxygenate while I sleep and my body puts itself into a sympathetic nervous system response meaning excess cortisol production, high heartrate, and an environment that is generally NOT conducive to conception. Do you snore? Do you wake up tired? Are you totally unexplained??? Look up Obstructive Sleep Apnea and metabolic disorders and read. You might be surprised at just how much effect deoxygenation while you sleep can affect the entire rest of your body. http://www.merck.com/mmpe/sec05/ch061/ch061b.html Hope this helps...

Thanks!
I just wanted to thank you so much for posting. I am in a similar position. I have indicators of PCOS but my dr is not convinced that I fully have it. Metformin makes me feel much better and I have gotten pg on it twice.I do have low progesterone. In two and a half years I have had 5 miscarriages and no one can figure out what my problem is exactly. Our new plan is to take Luvox the next time I get pg just in case I may have a clotting disorder which can't be tested for. I have been suspecting that I have sleep apnea (my father has it) and I am definitely going to as my re about having the test done. Have you spoken to a fertility dr about it? Just curious what they say. Thanks again!
