Smile Im yound and overweight and ttc

ok, so i am about at my wits end, i have been trying for 2 years to get pregnant.so far, nothing, not even a miscarriage. i have not treid any drugs or treatments just yet, trying to go at this thing all naturally but i am thinking that i am going to have to get the clomid started soon. i went to the doc to address this problem about 6 months ago and all they did was put me through some blood testing and some testing for pcos.i had the unltrasound done on my ovaries, it showed nothing, then the bloodwork and it all came back ok.so now they switched my doctors to a male doctor(which i dont like in the first place) and all he has told me thus far is lose weight and then we can talk, ok i weigh 275 and i dont know if that is as bad for fertility as the doctor says it is, but either way, i dieted and lost about 25 pounds but becasue of the depression brought on from ttc, i put it back on and then some.i guess my question is 1) is anyone else about this weight that has had a child naturally and what advice can u give me?the next major thing is that in my family our normal body temp. runs low, about 87.4 or in that range, so 2) with a body temp like that how would i judge to use clomid and how effective has it been for the woman like me? thank you for taking time to help me!

hi nicole,
i am right around your weight. i've been ttc now for 3 years, did 5 iui's, 1 ivf with no luck; however, i have a child from a previous relationship. so far, the doctor has never mentioned my weight, which i think is odd, but the other day, i said to the nurse, 'why don't i have very many follicles' and she said it is probably because of my weight. i really am not buying it, i think that they just my eggs don't like dh's sperm. i can't figure it out b/c his sperm count is so high, probably the highest the clinic has ever seen, so i just don't know. how old are you? i'm 40 now and was 18 when i had dd.

I was told from a infertility specialist that my weight could be a factor in the fact that we havent gotten PG. I was about 40lbs lighter when I got PG with my DD that is now 5 years old. I think it could maybe be a factor, but I really believe that there is something wrong that they havent discovered or havent put the effort in to find the problem. I had been on Clomid for over a year and now off of that cause Clomid is only good for up to 6 months and then does nothing.
