New to this forum: Me 32/ DH 34 (Unexplained Infertility_

Hello all -

I joined this forum recently. Lot of informative tips. Thanks!!

My DH (34) and I (32) have been TTC for 18 months. All our tests are normal (blood tests, DH's SA, my HSG etc). We met our RE two weeks back and she says we have unexplained infertility. Planning to go in for a Clomid/IUI TX soon.

I have one question: I sometimes see light spotting starting day 22 or 23 during some cycles along with some minor cramps. Has any one of you had a spotting like this before AF? My RE says this is normal and i need not be concerned.

Good Luck to All

Welcome! Make sure your RE tests you for FSH an Progesterone and Prolactin. Sometimes these can lead to spotting. Also have your RE do an antral follicle test with an u/s. This can help to dx PCOS if it is present, plus see how your body is doing creating follicles on it's own prior to treatment. It helps to see all these things prior to starting tx.

To get more information on IVF, if that is what you are pursuing, then check out the IVF High Tech board. They will have tons of information.

Best of Wishes

Thanks

Thank you Jeppy

My RE tested for FSH, Progesterone and Prolactin. All came out normal. I have not heard about the antral follicle test. Last time she did u/s she was able to detect follicle on my left ovary and said I will ovulate the next day. Planning to start out first with Clomid/IUI treatment soon and see how it works.

Wish you good luck.

Surge u/s and HCG

Hi Jeepy,

Today i got my surge u/s after taking clomid. Had only one follicle - about 19.9 mm i think. Not sure if that will reduce my chances for this time.

My RE also gave me a HCG injection and we have scheduled IUI for tomorrow. Please wish me luck.
