What to do next

Hi,
I am 27 & my husband 32.I never had regular periods since i had my mensus at the age of 13.We are married for 2years and 6months.I was on pill for 6months and since 2yrs we started planning for a baby. I am rt now in US and visited a Obygyn here. She did an ultrasound and told me that i had cysts on my ovary and gave me 2 months of birthcontrol pills and then put me on clomid 100mg for 6 cycles. I ovulated but didn't get pregnant. I also had an HSG done and they reported that it is normal. My husband had a semen analysis and everything is good. Recently we visited an infertility specialist and she suggested IUI for us. Is it too early to go for insemination or can we go for it. If not, is there anything we can do about it??

Thanking you in advance.

snowdrop, welcome to FT!

I don't think it is too early for IUI since you have been ttc for 2 years. Have you had any bloodwork done to check your hormones?

Welcome snowdrop!
If your dr. saw cysts on your ovaries you more than likely have PCOS--polycystic ovarian syndrome. It affects your hormones, delays periods, you may not ovulate, etc. Your first step is BLOODWORK! Check your thyroid, insulin resistance, testosterone....all of that. Bloodwork will tell you whether or not you do have PCOS. I don't think it's too early for IUI's as you've been ttc awhile. However, while doing that you want to rule out any and everything. Good luck to you!
