Stats & $$ /IUI, IVF...
I thought I'd share the stats my RE just gave me in our meeting. My dh and i have been dx (after they ran an assortement of tests and procedures on both of us) with "unexplained infertility" recently.
Following is statistical rundown and the $$ which I thought might be interesting to someone in a similar situation. As a 37 w/ unexplained infertility our RE says our chance of conceiving on our own is ~ 5%/cycle, w/ IUI/Clomid ~10% ($600), w/ FSH/IUI injectables ~ 18% ($3K) and ~55% w/ ivf. (b/w $12 & $15K) Of course this was info from a consult w/ me and at my particular clinic (in a large metro area) You may get different stats/#'s/$$ . Rachel (37) DH (35) IUI w/ 50mg clomid -cancelled did not ovulate IUI w/ 100mg clomid- two follicles, bfn
