I had my very first IUI on Oct 1st too! I was going crazy for a few days thinking about whether or not I'm going to get pregnant and every other possible issue that might come up. Yesterday and today I have been much more relaxed about it. My beta is scheduled for first thing on Oct 15th and I had been trying to "calculate" when I could take an HPT and be likely to get an accurate result. However, after reading some posts about people getting a positive hpt one day and then a beta the next day that is negative or shows it was a chemical pregnancy, I have decided to only do one HPT the morning of my beta.

I'll join you too. I had my iui on the Sept 31 so one day ahead if you. I'm so uncomfortable. I'm having twings and back is sore and tired and hungry and the list goes on.... I feel so out of it. I'm sure its that darn progestogen shot i took at 5 days past iui.

I've had mild cramps for about 2 days now and my BBs hurt, esp the nipples. I've been so hungry and thirsty lately, too. But... Maybe I'm just getting ready for AF. This sucks not knowing for sure! Ugh

I am taking estrace and prometrium vaginally, so I have been having some cramping, soreness, etc.

Does anyone know why the RE wants to check my progesterone levels 1wk piui? I forgot to ask at my appt and was hoping that maybe someone here knows the answer to that??? Also, what does beta mean? I beleive it has to do with the bloodwork to check for pregnancy, by is it acronym for something? Sorry for the kinda stupid question... New to all this

littletabby : The progesterone level is important for supporting a pregnancy because it helps with the uterine lining. The beta is the name of the actual blood test for amount of hcg hormone in your blood which determines if you are pregnant.

Half way through.....

Hi ladies,

I also did a double IUI on the first and second. I'm trying to decide if I am going to start testing on 9dpiui (Sunday) which is the earliest I've read some people get a faint positive......or if I'm going to wait until the 16th so I'll know almost for sure in one test.......or if I'll break down and test in between. I don't know.

What are you going to do?
