Hi all,
Yesterday was 8 days after I took my trigger shot, so maybe 7 dpo. I am hoping to find out I am pregnant next Monday. I started getting crampy during the day and it increased in the evening. I felt it all through the night, had trouble sleeping, and I am still feeling crampy this morning. It feels sort of like menstrual cramping but maybe different, like lower level but more constant. I just called my RE's office and the nurse told me this could be menstrual cramping or it could be implantation cramping. I asked her why I would be feeling menstrual cramping this early if my period isn't due until about a week from now (when I will test for pregnancy). She said it could be my period "trying" to happen but the progesterone suppositories I am taking are holding it off.
My question is, has anyone ever heard of or experienced this? I understand that progesterone delays menstruation and I might get my period earlier if I weren't on it. However, if I'm not going getting my period now, would I still be having menstrual cramps this early? That is, if the progesterone delays the period, wouldn't it delay the cramps as well? Don't cramps go hand in hand with period?
It's not that I don't trust my doctor, it's just that I think on some level they want to be non-committal so we don't get our hopes up too high. So I feel like I might get a more honest answer here.
Would really appreciate it if anyone has any thoughts on this. Thanks!

Hi water, i just want to tell u that I have been there. Gad my IVF and just new I am pregnant last Sat.
I had just exactly wat ur talking about. cramps about a week from my expected period and up until now. They very bad cramps, even worse than my period ones. I thought its no way the IVF worked. My doc told me it can be normal cramps from the shots i had in order to ovulate. they make the ovaries so big and it needs time to get them back to normal size.
Anyway to cut it short.. cramps are normal and can be either of them... period cramps or pregnancy. just cool down, relax and waite.

Thanks gena. It's so hard to cool down and relax. Now I'm trying to figure out how often it happens that someone would have symptoms like mine and they don't end up being pregnant. That info is harder to find.
