The Next Food Network Star?

I hadn't watched it at all, then last week one day, I hurt my back and I was resting most of the day. I watched almost all of the episodes in a row.

Did anyone else watch it? I can't believe that JAG lied about his left and then left the show?

I did.. I was upset the Jag did that, he had alot of potential.
The winner was Amy. The one with the short black hair.
Do you think she should have won? The last 2 were Rory and Amy.

I did like her style, I just think she needed some "professional" help for being in front of the camera, etc. which I am sure she will get. That last show was such a waste. 1 hour of talk just to get to the winner at the end.

I hadn't watched it all season either and got sucked into the marathon one weekend too I missed just that last episode, but it didn't matter to me who won - still, considering Amy had been kicked off, I thought Rory was a shoe-in! Did Amy do extremely well or did Rory screw up somehow??

I thought Jag was so great on camera - too bad he felt the need to lie, obviously he's got a few issues there, I wish him well and hope they bring him back somehow!

I watched all season...but MISSED the finale! If anyone can do a re-cap, I'd love to hear how it all went down.

I was happy that Amy won...I was so bummed when she got booted in the semi-final.

There was something about Jag that I thought was a little 'over the edge.' (but it sounds like his food was always great!)

I am a huge fan of this show. I am familiar with most of the place they filmed, very close to me.
I wanted JAG to win big time as a fellow Hispanic of course, plus I thought he has such a flair ( loved when he threw the cheese on the seafood) very upset when the truth came out about him. I hope another network finds him a place , maybe doing a Spanish segment on a news show.
I liked Amy, I think most people that watch Food network, (mommies) can relate better to her. Plus Rory was cute but her teeth were annoying.
I missed most of the last show but I know I missed nothing as, there was no cooking or challenges just a lot of bull.

So, what exactly did Jag lie about? I saw a commercial clip about him leaving which peaked my interest, so I tried recording the whole marathon, but it was interfering with other things I was recording so I just stopped it. I'm still curious though, anyone care to enlighten me? Pretty please?

He lied about ever finishing culinary school, and he lied about his deployment to Afghanistan. (He is a US Marine...but never served in Afghanistan.)
