Have any of you ladies had success with IVF if being tubeless is your only issue? or know anyone that has? Starting IVF in a few weeks and could really use some reassurance

I'm sorry noone has answered you, but yes! I've been on these boards many years and have "met" many women who have had their tubes removed/cauterized/etc. and have gone on to get pregnant via IVF.

Good luck to you! Keep us posted

You ended up having your tubes removed? I thought you were going to have surgery to try and repair them?

I had the same problem except I had the surgery to "fix" them and apparently there wasn't any "fixing" involved. Mine were really bad too and adhered to my other organs so he couldn't remove them. I had to get them cut, burnt, and clipped. Good luck I hope that was it and your IVF is successful.

I am now.. well since yesterday tubeless as well... it gives a little weird feeling knowing I am now officially "disconnected" at that our only solution is IVF BUT we have as much chances to be successful as any others to be pregnant through IVF now ! (told by my doc) and when you think about it, we don't have issues that can happen in tubes anymore, ectopic etc.....
Did you already started IVF ?

I had a tubal ligation and am now beginning the process of deciding if IVF or a tubal reversal is a better option. Does anyone know what the downtime is for a reversal? I can't seem to find a thread dedicated specifically to reversals. I am unsure if I am a good candidate for a reversal (and I admit part of me is hoping I am not so I can go right into IVF and not get cut open again)

My doctor would not even reverse my tubes. I am starting my IVF cycles soon and really can't wait. Her reasoning for not doing the tube reversal was you are at higher risk for eptopic pregnancy. Good Luck on your journey.

I had read that, and have been thinking that to go through the surgery, then end up losing the tube(s) anyhow because of an eptopic pregnancy would be like a slap in the face. I am really leaning towards going straight to IVF.
Best of luck, keep me up to date.!!

Had my appointment, no hope of the tubes being reversed. My doctor was very, very thurough and apparently not only cut them, but also cauterized, sewed, and took a piece out. By the time it was all said and done the doctor said I would eb lucky to have 3cm on one side and 2 on the other. He recommends IVF.
So, not on to the next step. Finding a place for IVF. I al thinking microIVF since we have no known fertility issues. We have agreed to spend no more than ten grand and only do one cycle. Figuring that with as easy as pregnancy happened before that it should be easy this time unless it isn't meant to be.
How are the hormones treating you NJIVFMOM? I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how this is all going for you.
