Hi everbody,
(first of all apologizes for my english..) I have a similar story like yours. In 2010 I was practiced a miomectomy since I wasn't able to get pregnant and my OB decided to go through a laparoscopy to see what was going on inside. Then they found out adherences in my both fallopian tubes, hydrosalpinxs and my fimbrae were closed. They tried to fix it all, open my fallopian tubes, drain the hydro and remove all the adherences.
They told us to try to conceive naturally but after 6 months of negative results, we went back to OB and derived to RE. After more medical tests that confirmed my tubes were filled with hydro again and closed. So we tried 3 IVF before removing permanently my tubes.... as all the results were negative again, we decided to go through the removal.
And this happened one month ago. Now I'm preparing for my last IVF, I hope it's my time to become mother because after two years and a half, I'm really tired to live like a broken heart.
Good luck for all of you, I'll keep you posted!

Sorry that this is so late but there are many women who specifically get their tubes cauterized or completely removed to do IVF. As you know IVF by-passes the tubes so they are not needed. I had my tubes cauterized in Jan 2005 because of severe tubal damage. They were so adhered that they could not be removed. In April I attempted my first IVF cycle and had twins.
My RE actually advised me to do the surgery because some women who have tubal problems go on to do IVF and have BFN's. What can happen is that fluid leaks back into the uterus destroying the embie(s). My RE did not want this to happen because of the severe damage to the tubes and the high chance of that happening. If you don't have tubes there is no chance of that happening.
Good luck!!!

Positive test
Hello,
this is only to give hope for those who are tubeless like me. I tried my last IFV after a salpinguectomy and yesterday I did the pregnancy test and was positive. I'm pregnant.... after 3 year of tubal infertility. I think the surgery is the best solution moreover when they have hidrosalpinx inside....
good luck and my best wishes!34 and 35 years old
