Not new to FT, but new to this forum!

Hey girls!

I have been coming to Fertile Thoughts for a few years now. I have been TTC#1 for quite some time. I was diagnosed with Stage IV endo and ovarian/tubals cysts in 2003. I continued to TTC with help to no avail. When meeting with my relatively new RE (been going to her since September) on Friday, she ordered an HSG that day based on pain, my history, etc. I had a semi-normal HSG in 2005, that only showed some 'fishy' fill and spill on the right (i think it was just slow). So anyway... the news isn't so good this time. I have a huge hydrosalpinx on the left, which I got news from the doc today that she will be removing it during my lap. My right tube is severely constricted. She is going to try to save it, but doesn't want to make any promises to me about it. She also saw some scarring/adhesions around my uterus which she is going to investigate closer after my period with a saline u/s. I am so frustrated right now and have become a regular visitor of the endo board on FT. I think this will also be a forum that I frequent. I've read a lot of old posts and I know that everyone here has been through so much. I wish I could give you all big ((((hugs))))). I hope to get to know everyone better.

Hi Steph!
I am not sure if you remember me but I remember you from the chatroom. We have talked a couple of times. Sorry to hear about your hydros. That is great news about your dr removing them tho. I have hydros and had both of them cauterized b4 I started my 1st IVF cycle. I also had the saline u/s and all was good for me to proceed with my cycle. Please keep us posted!

Hugs!
Carla

Carla-

Of course I remember you! Your first IVF cycle was a BFP, right? Or maybe it was your second cycle. I know it's better if they just take the tubes, because of how they could hender any of my treatments. I want that nasty thing out of there! It's actually just one hydro, the other tube is so constricted... it was kind of funny seeing my HSG because one tube was big and fat and the other was so skinny you could barely see it. I just want her to get this stuff taken care of! I'm terrified of what is happening with my uterus. I've always kept hope for IVF because I was always told my uterus was healthy. Well, now it is in question. I wish my saline u/s wasn't so far away. I probably won't start for another 8-9 days and then it won't be for another week or two after that... ughh! I'll definitely let you know what I find out. How have you been doing?!?!

Hello*!!!!! I am sorry that you now have to come over here....uuuggghhhhh when is your lap scheduled for??? I am glad to hear they are going to take care of the hydro...is it going to be completely removed or just clamped???

As for your uterus I am sure everything is okay, but the DR just wants to be sure before your lap will be done. Please keep us posted on the tests*!!!

BFP ment

Hey Steph!

My first cycle was a BFN and the 2nd cycle was a BFP. The dr can also do a hysterscopy to check your uterus during your lap when they remove your tubes. I did not have my tubes removed b/c there was too much scar tissue. I had a hysterscopy during my lap when they cauterized (burn shut) my tubes. I had a saline u/s right b4 my first IVF cycle. Good luck with everything and please keep us update.

I have been doing well....very busy, LOL!

TTYS!
