Frustrated & Hurt....pg ment

I don't know what to feel tonight...this is what happened. We had a great apt with our RE today got the go ahead for IUI on Monday. I was sooo excited when I got home so I called one of my best friends. When I finished telling her my news she said "Well that is nothing to be excited about, and I have better news....I am pg" I was in SHOCK she has not even been married for a year...and always talked about how she does not want kids for a long long time. Then I guess 2 months a go on a whim her husband her decided to ttc and Bam they are preggo. I am so devastated...I know I should be happy for her but i just can't tonight. I went from extremely happy and excited about our IUI to devastated and crushed. I mean she knows all about our IF challenges and to make that comment was so mean and cruel...I am seriously starting to doubt her friendship at all. She kept going on and on about it. I hate that I am so jealous of her. Its just that we want a baby so bad and it breaks my heart that we would give and do anything to have a child and she gets preggo on a whim. Anyway thanks for letting me vent...

What an insensitive woman, it is not nothing that you are excited about getting the go ahead for your IUI, it is exciting, it is promising, it is something to rejoice in, you are moving ahead with your treatment HOORAY and goodluck.

Hugs
Debbie

I wouldn't talk to her for a while. What a jerk she is to say that. Good luck with your IUI. You have every right to be very excited about it.

When my BF got pg with her first, right as we found out how hard it would be for us to get pg...she was way insensitive. I had to bite my tongue, and remember the years of support that she had provided in other realms, and remember that being pg does make you dumber.

It worked out though, she has a darling baby girl, that I love...and she is back to being supportive in our IF challenges.

Maybe your friend will come to some realizations in time as well.

Meg
