Starting a fresh IVF cycle

Well, due to my unforseen insurance issues we are going to be starting a fresh IVF cycle. My RE's office called and said that she already submitted the approval for meds and she will be mailing the paperword/packet to me today. I am excited and nervous.

I told her I have been spotting for about 3 weeks off and on and she had the nerve to ask "Could you be pregnant?"

Sorry that was me laughing my rear end off. Yeah right, me prengnat without major measures? doubtful but I told her I'd do a HPT before starting provera.

We have to redo all of our blood tests because it has been over a year. yucko! But hopefully we'll be on our way soon. Wish me luck, I'm scared to death because of retrieval but I hope it will be worth it.

Hugs,
Tricia

Tricia-
This time is filled with so many emotions-there's fear(we know what can happen,we're not naive and clueless anymore),saddness (we miss our babies, and this is our "next"step forward),excitement(maybe we will bring home a lc this time),worry(will everything go OK)-that's just some of them. There are sooo many things to feel, plus add all the extra stuff we carry from losing our children and add all the hormones to the mix- this will be no easy task!! But remember we're here for you girl and it will be worth it in the end!!! Good Luck

I am so glad to hear you have an action plan. I know you have mixed emotions but just take it one day at a time. I will be praying for a perfect cycle, a BFP and a perfect pregnancy It is soooo deserved.

Tricia-

Good luck. I'll be rooting for you all the way, and here to support you, too.

We had to go through all the blood tests again, too. What a drag.

Do you have a tentative start date??

CONGRATS!! I was just so happy to have a plan!! I know you are excited but scared. I was too. But I still am so I don't know if that ever goes away.

Good Luck on your blood work. I don't know if they will ever have enough blood from me!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

As far as the blood tests go, could you possibly get a waiver? I didn't know it was possible at my clinic, but my RE brought it up somewhere around my 6th-7th cycle. I'd already had the tests run a few times over the years, and my insurance didn't pay. At one of my pre-cycle visits (to make plans for the cycle), she told me that my year (and dh's) had run out again, but that she saw no need to do them again if I didn't want to. (I might have had to sign some waiver saying I wouldn't sue if I got pg and had AIDS, since I didn't repeat the tests...can't remember for sure, but I certainly wasn't worried about that scenario.) It saved a couple of thousand dollars to skip all the tests for both dh and me. She said it was up to her discretion, but since we were a VERY regular patient and had done them so many times, I wasn't required to. Might be worth asking about?
