Anyone new?

It seems like all of our adoption boards have slowed down. Anyone new here or contemplating transracial adoption?

My ds is Hispanic/Latino American and we are Caucasian.

We will most likely adopt a non-caucasian baby (DH, I, and our 3 sons are Caucasian). Keeping the race part open, but we'll be specifying gender(girl). Don't really care about the skin tone, which ups the odds of doing transracial

Bummed that this forum is slow, but I've been picking apart older message trying to get info on agencies & everything

we are contemplating adopting a non-caucasian baby (dh & I are both caucasian). we have no preference for skin tone or gender. we have been reading every adoption book our library has available...so much info to sort thru!
can anyone recommend any agencies or placement groups that are more sensitive & reliable??? we live in washington, but are open to out-of-state.

thanks!

I'm newish ... we adopted a transracial baby boy at birth through open adoption. His biological mom is also adopted and her heritage is caucasian + unknown. DS's biological father is AA + unknown. DH and I and our firstborn DD are caucasian.

Our homestudy agency, The Family Network in Santa Cruz CA was very informative and sensitive. We also got good/helpful online classes - can't remember the website - will look that up.

mmm how is your adoption going?
